3 Reasons to Celebrate Winter
|
Don't let winter get you down. Jump for joy at a sanctuary near you!
When temperatures drop and nights lengthen, we're all tempted to stay indoors and wait for spring. But winter is a beautiful time in nature - quiet, sparkly, and still. Take time to experience it soon! Here are three way Mass Audubon can help you get outdoors this winter -- 1. Take a snowshoeing program! Snowshoeing is a fun way to experience the winter trails, get great exercise, and look for animal tracks and signs. A guided snowshoe program with a naturalist makes the experience extra special. Winter is the time for owls! A winter evening can be the best time to see these magnificent birds hunt, establish a territory, and begin nesting. Learn more in an upcoming Owl Prowl program: Owl Prowl at Wachusett MeadowOwl Prowl at Broad Meadow Brook
