Yes, even in the time of Covid-19 Birathon will take place from May 15th to May 16th.  Over 800 people across Massachusetts, including the team from Habitat, will participate in Mass Audubon’s Bird-a-thon fundraiser.   This year's event will be carbon-free; particpants will bird from their homes any other places they can get to by foot or bike.

The centerpiece of Bird-a-thon is a 24-hour birding event; teams representing different Mass Audubon sanctuaries and programs compete to identify the most species of birds in a 24-hour period. But Bird-a-thon is really a reminder of the variety and abundance of wildlife that surrounds us.  It hightlights our responsibility to preserve wildlife habitat so future generations can experience the joy, awe and restorative power of nature too.

The Habitat Education Center and Wildlife Sanctuary team participates in Bird-a-thon to support Mass Audubon’s efforts to protect and steward the natural habitats of Massachusetts through conservation, education, and advocacy.

Please join us in supporting Habitat's important work by making a donation through our team's fundraising page.
