Bird-a-thon with Tom
From May 11-12, over 750 people from all over Massachusetts will focus on nature by participating in Mass Audubon’s annual Bird-a-thon fundraiser.
The centerpiece of Bird-a-thon is a 24-hour birding competition where teams representing different Mass Audubon sanctuaries and programs attempt to identify the most species of birds in a 24-hour period. Bird-a-thon serves as a reminder of the variety and abundance of wildlife that surrounds us and our responsibility to preserve their habitats.
This year, I am raising money for Mass Audubon's Science and Bird Conservation team to support my work in ecological planning and management. Maintaining habitat quality for the full range of breeding birds and other wildlife (including plants!) takes a lot of resources, and we need all the help we can get.
Please join me in supporting this important work by making a donation through my personal fundraising page.
