Becky's Wildwood Bird-a-thon
On May 10-11, over 750 people from all over Massachusetts will focus on nature by participating in Mass Audubon’s annual Bird-a-thon fundraiser. I will be one of them!!
This year, I am raising money for Wildwood Camp's Campership program. I believe in the importance of summer camp in helping to develop a young person; I loved camp as a child. At Wildwood we love to teach kids about the amzing things that happen in nature, and also enjoy all the other fun camp activites such as swimming, canoeing, archery, ropes course and making smore's! Wildwood is proud to be a Mass Audubon camp that focuses on teaching campers about protecting the nature of Massachusetts for people and wildlife. I support Mass Audubon’s efforts to protect and steward the environment of Massachusetts through conservation, education, and advocacy.
The centerpiece of Bird-a-thon is a 24-hour birding competition where teams representing different Mass Audubon sanctuaries and programs attempt to identify the most species of birds in a 24-hour period. Bird-a-thon serves as a reminder of the variety and abundance of wildlife that surrounds us and our responsibility to preserve their habitats.
Please join me in supporting this important work by making a donation through my personal fundraising page. All proceeds to directly to our campership program!
Thank you for your support!
