Lauren's SouthCoast Sanctuaries Bird-a-thon Page
From May 10-11, over 750 people from all over Massachusetts will focus on nature by participating in Mass Audubon’s annual Bird-a-thon fundraiser.
The centerpiece of Bird-a-thon is a 24-hour birding competition where teams representing different Mass Audubon sanctuaries and programs attempt to identify the most species of birds in a 24-hour period.
Every year we start the day at Mount Audburn cemetary with the Paskamansett Bird Club and we finish the 24-hours with the Allens Pond Junior Bird Club at Allens Pond Wildlife Sanctuary, we have a pizza party and we count down all the species seen that day. This is one of the funnest days of the entire year for all of us.
Help me reach my fundrasing goal of $1,000!!! Please join me in supporting this important work by making a donation through my personal fundraising page and support Mass Audubons effort to protect the nature of Massachusetts for people and wildlife.
