Jess & Jon | Bird-a-thon 2019
It's that time of year again... Jon and Jess are participating in Bird-a-thon to benefit Mass Audubon on May 10–11, 2019! We'll be joining the Drumlin Farm Sanctuary team again, for our 7th year of this fun 24-hour event with little sleep and tons of bird nerdery, all while raising funds to help protect wildlife and their habitats in Massachusetts.
This year our group is heading north to Essex County, which includes Plum Island and Cape Ann—some of our personal favorite birding spots. We'll be working to identify as many species as we can in 24 hours, looking for migrating birds and species you can only find near the ocean. Other Drumlin Farm team members will be spread around the state to find birds in a variety of habitats. Sleep will be minimal, but we'll be spending time with some great birders and seeing lots of wildlife.
Your donation will help support one of our favorite Mass Audubon sanctuaries on multiple levels.
The funds we raise will support preservation of wildlife habitat throughout Massachusetts, educational programs for all ages, kids' summer camp programs (including scholarships), migratory bird research and habitat restoration at Drumlin Farm, and much more.
We participate in Bird-a-thon not only because it's a lot of fun, but because we believe in the importance of protecting the nature of Massachusetts for both people and wildlife. Please join us in supporting Mass Audubon's important work by making a donation through this fundraising page—100% of your donation goes directly to this wonderful nonprofit!
Any size gift is very much appreciated, and thanks for your support!
