From May 12-13, over 750 people from all over Massachusetts will focus on nature by participating in Mass Audubon’s annual Bird-a-thon fundraiser.
The centerpiece of Bird-a-thon is a 24-hour birding competition where teams representing different Mass Audubon sanctuaries and programs attempt to identify the most species of birds in a 24-hour period. Bird-a-thon serves as a reminder of the variety and abundance of wildlife that surrounds us and our responsibility to preserve their habitats.
This year, I am raising money for Bird-a-thon because I believe in the importance of protecting the nature of Massachusetts for people and wildlife. I support Mass Audubon’s efforts to protect and steward the environment of Massachusetts through conservation, education, and advocacy.
Please join me in supporting this important work by making a donation through my personal fundraising page.
I am especially committed to raising funds for both Broad Meadow Brook and Wachusett Meadow so I will be joining the Wachusett Meadow team as well and listing a goal and reaching out. Bird A thon raises funds for our sanctuary services- visitor services, trail stewarship, educational programs, buildings upkeep and staff salaries. We need your annual support and greatly appreciate contributions.
