Kylee & Vince's Bird-a-thon Page
On May 15th & 16th hundreds of conservation-minded folks will focus on nature by participating in Mass Audubon’s annual Bird-a-thon fundraiser.
The centerpiece of Bird-a-thon is a 24-hour birding competition where teams representing different Mass Audubon sanctuaries and programs attempt to identify the most species of birds in a 24-hour period. Bird-a-thon serves as a reminder of the variety and abundance of wildlife that surrounds us and our responsibility to preserve their habitats.
Vince and I are joining the Boston Nature Center's team for our 12th year! We support Mass Audubon’s efforts to protect and steward the environment through conservation, education, and advocacy. Last year we were able to find 91 species! Our highest total yet.
This year will be different as we're birding locally and socially-distant, so it won't be our usual marathon! Even so, your donation is more important than ever and will help provide scholarships for low-income kids to attend summer camp and connect with nature at the Boston Nature Center and beyond. This is our next generation of environmentalists! Please join me in supporting this important work by making a donation. Even $5 or $10 makes a big difference!
