Help Margo raise funds for birds!
Why do I Bird-a-thon? I love birds and want to keep them around!
As you may know, I am the Conservation Program Coordinator in Mass Audubon's Conservation Science Department. I've been working with birds since 2010 when I was a field biologist for MassWildlife's Buzzards Bay Tern Restoration Project. I've worked for Mass Audubon on and off for about 6.5 years.
Birds are truly incredible creatures and so diverse. I have loved my time at Mass Audubon learning about all of the wonderful species we have in Massachusetts. I am glad that I am able to do the work that I do.
In the face of rapidly changing climate, it is now even more critical to plan for the conservation of our birds, nature, and other wildlife. It’s not just the rare or special-habitat birds that are in danger of disappearing from the state—even some very common birds may no longer be here in the next 50-100 years. Our work focuses on recognizing the current and potential future distributions of birds in Massachusetts and on conserving and managing habitat for birds and through them other wildlife. We have many interesting projects going on in Conservation Science, and many more ideas that we’d love to bring to fruition.
Please donate! Your donation will help me and my team keep doing the great work that we do. For more information on our projects, visit http://www.massaudubon.org/wildlife-conservation.
