Help Margo Mercer raise funds for birds!
I cannot wait for this year's Bird-a-thon! On May 14-15 I will be birding my yard and neighborhood trying to see how many birds I can identify. Bird-a-thon is always a great reminder of the wonderful natural world around us.
More important than any trophies or bragging rights is the critical work that these raised funds support. My colleagues in the Conservation Science Department and I spend every day managing habitat for wildlife, actively protecting wildlife, and learning more about birds and other wildlife so that we can better protect and conserve them.
My personal love for birds started casually when I was a kid, but grew tremendously when I had first-hand experience working with Common and Roseate Terns in Buzzards Bay 11 years ago. I am so grateful that since then I've been able to work for Mass Audubon and continuously learn from my fabulous colleagues.
I truly hope you will support my Bird-a-thon efforts this year and protect the wildlife of Massachusetts.
Giving through my Bird-a-thon webpage is a very secure process. If, however, you'd prefer to give via check, please send the check to my attention at Mass Audubon 208 S Great Road, Lincoln, MA 01773 with a note that says it is for "Science and Bird Conservation's Bird-a-thon team". Thank you!
