Fran's Personal Fundraising Page
From May 10-11, 2019 over 750 people from all over Massachusetts will focus on nature by participating in Mass Audubon’s annual Bird-a-thon fundraiser.
The centerpiece of Bird-a-thon is a 24-hour birding competition where teams representing different Mass Audubon sanctuaries and programs attempt to identify the most species of birds in a 24-hour period. Team Ipswich River usually identifies over 220 species!
Bird-a-thon serves as a reminder of the variety and abundance of wildlife that surrounds us and our responsibility to preserve their habitats.
Again this year, I am raising money for Bird-a-thon Team Ipswich River Wildlife Sanctuary because I believe in the importance of protecting the nature of Massachusetts for people and wildlife. I support Mass Audubon’s efforts to protect and steward the environment of Massachusetts through conservation, education, and advocacy.
Mass Audubon teaches kids values we all would like them to adopt and provides alternatives to sitting in front of their computer, phone or TV. Ipswich River Wildlife Sanctuary focuses on kids programs and camps. Each Sanctuary has to raise money to run its programs, camps, classes, etc. – will you help?
Thanks to all who have previously supported me and all the sanctuary's programs through bird-a-thon.
Please join me again this year in supporting this important work by making a donation through my personal fundraising page. Every dollar helps!
