Changing lives through camp
For 24 hours on May 10th and 11th hundreds of people will participate in Mass Audubon’s annual Bird-a-thon fundraiser. I will be joining that effort, leading a group on a bird walk at 8:30 AM at Oxbow National Wildlife Refuge. We’ll enjoy a beautiful walk, share our knowledge with each other, and raise money for camperships here at Wildwood—Mass Audubon’s overnight camp for outdoor exploration.
Join me in supporting a program I truly believe in
Camp has the ability to change lives! Camp, especially Wildwood, is a wonderful place to connect with the natural world around us. We all connect with nature in different ways, and Wildwood offers opportunities for people to connect in their own way. That connection with the beautiful places around us is so vital to the human experience.
Not only is Wildwood a wonderful natural space, it is a great environment for children to build positive friendships with each other. Camp is such a unique environment where we get to spend so much time around each other doing such fun and interesting things. Friendships built at camp are relationships not quite like any other.
