Bird-a-thon season is upon us! Nature needs our focus now more than ever, and you can help us with our mission to protect the nature of Massachusetts. Curious about what Bird-a-thon is? Read on:
From May 11-12, over 750 people from all over Massachusetts will focus on nature by participating in Mass Audubon’s annual Bird-a-thon fundraiser. The centerpiece of Bird-a-thon is a 24-hour birding competition where teams representing different Mass Audubon sanctuaries and programs attempt to identify the most species of birds in a 24-hour period. Bird-a-thon serves as a reminder of the variety and abundance of wildlife that surrounds us and our responsibility to preserve their habitats.
This year, I am raising money for Bird-a-thon because I believe in the cause Mass Audubon fights for: protecting the nature of Massachusetts. The intricate, mesmerizing world outside is so easy to share with others - as long as we take care to preserve and protect our natural environment. In our current world, it is more important than ever to protect the wild spaces so generations to come can appreciate the treasures of the outdoors. Please join me in supporting this important work by making a donation. Any support counts!
