Zach Adams's Fundraising Page
From May 10-11, over 750 people from all over Massachusetts will focus on nature by participating in Mass Audubon’s annual Bird-a-thon fundraiser.
The centerpiece of Bird-a-thon is a 24-hour birding competition where teams representing different Mass Audubon sanctuaries and programs attempt to identify the most species of birds in a 24-hour period. Bird-a-thon serves as a reminder of the variety and abundance of wildlife that surrounds us and our responsibility to preserve their habitats, and is also surely the most fun day of birding in Massachussets!
This year, I am raising money for Bird-a-thon because as a new employee of 6 months, I am passionate about supporting the sanctuary that has given me a home. I believe in all the amazing work we do here at Mass Audubon, and the money we raise will help us further all of the conservation, education, and advocacy that we do every day. Our bird walks at the Berkshires Sanctuaries are free, but not free to put on. Supporting bird-a-thon helps to support the engagement of the hundres of people we encounter through sharing our love for nature and birds.
