Mass Audubon's Bird-a-thon 2017

Boston Nature Center

Boston Nature Center's Team Page

From May 12-13, over 750 people from all over Massachusetts will focus on nature and participate in Mass Audubon’s annual Bird-a-thon fundraiser.

The centerpiece of Bird-a-thon is a 24-hour birding competition where teams representing different Mass Audubon sanctuaries and programs attempt to identify the most species of birds in a 24-hour period. Bird-a-thon serves as a reminder of the variety and abundance of wildlife that surrounds us and our responsibility to preserve their habitats.

We welcome and invite you to become a member of the Mass Audubon and join the Boston Nature Center community through your participation in Bird-a-thon. All you need is a willingness to help us achieve our goal through birding, donating, fundraising, or through a supporting role. Birders of all abilities are always welcome. If you are not a birder, you could be our next donation or fundraising star!

Our team is participating in Bird-a-thon because we believe in the importance of protecting the nature of Massachusetts for people and wildlife. We support Mass Audubon’s efforts to protect and steward the environment of Massachusetts through conservation, education, and advocacy.

Please join us in supporting this important work by making a donation through our team’s fundraising page.
