Mass Audubon's Bird-a-thon 2018

Blue Hills Trailside Museum

Blue Hills Trailside Museum's Team Page

From May 12-13, more than 750 people from all over Massachusetts will focus on nature and participate in Mass Audubon’s annual Bird-a-thon fundraiser.

The centerpiece of Bird-a-thon is a 24-hour birding competition where teams representing different Mass Audubon sanctuaries and programs attempt to identify the most species of birds in a 24-hour period. Bird-a-thon serves as a reminder of the variety and abundance of wildlife that surrounds us and our responsibility to preserve their habitats.

This Spring you can join us as we protect the nature of Massachusetts for people and wildlife. Bird-a-thon is your opportunity to help support Mass Audubon’s efforts to protect and steward the environment of Massachusetts through conservation, education, and advocacy. This is an especially critical year for the Trailside Museum to raise money, as the governor has made budget cuts eliminating operating funds for this current fiscal year and has not included the Museum in the FY18 budget.

If you cannot join us, please consider making a donation.

Thank you for your support!

We also need your help in writing letters to your Representative, Senator, and Governor asking to fund this important institution in the FY18 budget.
