Mass Audubon's Bird-a-thon 2018

Museum of American Bird Art

Museum of American Bird Art's Team Page

From May 11-12, over 750 people from all over Massachusetts will focus on nature and participate in Mass Audubon’s annual Bird-a-thon fundraiser.

The centerpiece of Bird-a-thon is a 24-hour birding competition where teams representing different Mass Audubon sanctuaries and programs attempt to identify the most species of birds in a 24-hour period. Bird-a-thon serves as a reminder of the variety and abundance of wildlife that surrounds us and our responsibility to preserve their habitats.

Our team is participating in Bird-a-thon because we believe in the importance of protecting the nature of Massachusetts for people and wildlife. The Museum of American Bird Art at Mass Audubon (MABA) is a professional art museum, connecting people and nature through art. Our exhibitions feature art by internationally recognized artists inspired by nature. In addition to our beautiful gallery, our property is a 121 acre wildlife sanctuary that provides crutial habitiat for birds and other native wildlife in the heart of an always developing suburban neighorhood.

Please join us in supporting this important cause by making a donation through our team’s fundraising page. Your generous donation will help support conservation in Massachuesetts and help our sanctuary continue with our mission of connecting and educating visitors on the importance of wildlife preservation through art.
