Mass Audubon's Bird-a-thon 2019

The American Woodcock peents for Ipswich River!

Ipswich River Wildlife Sanctuary

Every May people from all over Massachusetts participate in Mass Audubon’s annual Bird-a-thon fundraiser as either donors or birders or both.

One part of Bird-a-thon is a birding competition where teams representing different Mass Audubon sanctuaries attempt to identify the most species of birds within a 24-hour period. Ipswich River Wildlife Sanctuary’s birders will search the landscape high and low to see and hear as many bird species as possible.  We hope to win the birding cup!

You can participate too!  Help us win the donation competition part of Bird-a-thon by considering giving a gift.  All size gifts are welcome and go directly to Ipswich River Wildlife Sanctuary to enable us to protect our North Shore sanctuaries and engage thousands of people with nature.

Click on the Donate Now button to make a gift to the team in general or, if you prefer, click on a name on the Team Roster and donate through their specific page.  Or send a check made payable to Mass Audubon to Bird-a-thon, Ipswich River Wildlife Sanctuary, 87 Perkins Row, Topsfield, MA 01983. Click Join Team” if you want to fundraise for us.  The more the merrier!

Thank you!
