From May 10-11, over 750 people from all over Massachusetts will focus on nature and participate in Mass Audubon’s annual Bird-a-thon fundraiser.

In Memory of David Whipple

This year, the Trailside Museum will be dedicating its Bird-a-thon efforts to the memory of David Whipple. David was an avid birder and a regular member of Trailside’s Bird-a-thon team since he was age 6 in 2000.

About Bird-a-thon

The centerpiece of Bird-a-thon is a 24-hour birding competition where teams representing different Mass Audubon sanctuaries and programs attempt to identify the most species of birds in a 24-hour period. Bird-a-thon serves as a reminder of the variety and abundance of wildlife that surrounds us and our responsibility to preserve their habitats.

Our team is participating in Bird-a-thon because we believe in the importance of protecting the nature of Massachusetts for people and wildlife.

Please join us in supporting this important work by making a donation through our team’s fundraising page.
