Broad Meadow Brook Conservation Center
Broad Meadow Brook Conservation Center's Team Page
From May 11-12, over 750 people from all over Massachusetts will focus on nature and participate in Mass Audubon’s annual Bird-a-thon fundraiser.
Broad Meadow Brook is doing Bird-a-thon because in (and around) Worcester, we believe in the importance of protecting the nature of Massachusetts for people and wildlife. We are wholeheartedly part of Mass Audubon’s efforts to protect and steward the environment of Massachusetts through conservation, education, and advocacy.
The centerpiece of Bird-a-thon is a 24-hour birding competition where teams representing different Mass Audubon sanctuaries and programs attempt to identify the most species of birds in a 24-hour period. Bird-a-thon serves as a reminder of the variety and abundance of wildlife that surrounds us and our responsibility to preserve their habitats.
This year, family-friendly birding activities will also be featured at the sanctuary on Saturday, May 12. Please stop by, have fun, and make a donation to support our work!
