Felix Neck Wildlife Sanctuary's Team Page
2020 is a very special year, Felix Neck is celebrating 50 years as a Mass Audubon Sanctuary! Let's honor this half century anniversary by finding birds and raising funds for ensure fifty more years and support the programs and projects for which we all care deeply.
From May 15-16, nature heroes from all over Massachusetts will focus on nature by participating in Mass Audubon’s annual Bird-a-thon fundraiser. Due to COVID-19, this will be the organization’s first Bird-at-home-a-thon, which will be carbon-free, safety-focused, and family-friendly!
Teams representing different Mass Audubon sanctuaries and programs will come together to collectively identify as many species of birds in a 24-hour period and also complete other fun, nature-based activities from their home. Bird-a-thon serves as a reminder of the variety and abundance of wildlife that surrounds us and our responsibility to preserve their habitats
In the last year, Felix Neck staff and volunteers can be proud of some truly terrific accomplishments. We licensed and opened Martha's Vineyard's first nature-based preschool, ramped up our Climate Change Education Initiatives with Climate Cafes, Youth Climate Summits, collaborations with local town and nonprofit partners, and protected and shared nature as has been our tradition and passion for all of these years.
Please join us in supporting this important work by making a donation through our team’s fundraising page. All donations to Felix Neck support our Island Sanctuary and stay on Martha's Vineyard.
