From May 15-16, nature heroes from all over Massachusetts will focus on nature by participating in Mass Audubon’s annual Bird-a-thon fundraiser. Due to COVID-19, this will be the organization’s first Bird-at-home-a-thon, which will be carbon-free, safety-focused, and family-friendly!

Teams representing different Mass Audubon sanctuaries and programs will come together -- virtually -- to collectively identify as many species of birds in a 24-hour period and also complete other fun, nature-based activities from their homes. Bird-a-thon serves as a reminder of the variety and abundance of wildlife that surrounds us and our responsibility to preserve their habitats.

Our team is participating in Bird-a-thon because we believe in the importance of protecting the nature of Massachusetts for people and wildlife, and we can only achieve this mission with your help.

Over the past decade, Bird-a-thon contributions have helped to sustain and expand our sanctuary's bird research and education efforts, from shore bird monitoring on Cape Cod beaches to science instruction in outer Cape classrooms. These important programs benefit adults, children, families, AND wildlife that call the outer Cape their home.

Our team goal is $15,000. Please help us reach our goal and support this important work by making a donation in any amount to a member of the Wellfleet Bay Bird-a-thon Team (listed to the right) or to the team as a whole.  Your contributions will be much appreciated.
