Mass Audubon Bird-a-thon

Cape Cod Wildlife Sanctuaries

Cape Cod Wildlife Sanctuaries Team

Welcome to the Bird-a-thon fundraising page for Long Pasture and Wellfleet Bay Wildlife Sanctuaries, the two most amazing places on Cape Cod!

From May 14–15, nature heroes from all over Massachusetts will celebrate nature by participating in Bird-a-thon, Mass Audubon's largest annual fundraiser. This year is particularly special because Mass Audubon is celebrating its 125th anniversary!

We participate in Bird-a-thon because we believe that nature needs our support now more than ever. For over thirty years, our teams have been supporting the important work of connecting our community to nature. Your contributions to our Bird-a-thon team will protect the peace and beauty of our sanctuaries, support high quality educational programming for all ages, and fund conservation projects critical to the protection of our local wildlife. Your support makes our work possible!

As always, our Cape Cod Sanctuaries will compete against other Mass Audubon sanctuaries in the statewide birding competition to find the greatest number of species in a single 24-hour period.

We also have a friendly and fun rivalry within our own groups. Do you want to cheer on The Greying Catbirds (led by Chris Walz)?  Quack loudly for the Lame Ducks (led by Peggy Sagan)?  Make the grade for Team Pamet (led by Melinda Forist)?  Strike up the band for the Bird Banding team, Wren in Doubt (led by James Junda)?

You can support these sub teams, our Cape Cod team, or an individual team member, by making a donation through this secure fundraising website.

We thank you for your support!

Melissa Lowe

Director, Cape Cod Wildlife Sanctuaries
