Thank Governor Healey and your Legislators for Prioritizing Nature

Climate change threatens every person, community, and ecosystem in Massachusetts. To fight it, we must protect the nature we have while building the clean energy we need.

The Massachusetts Legislature just passed a major bill that would drive our state toward both those goals.

Thank Governor Healey and Energy & Environment Secretary Tepper for their leadership in convening the Commission on Energy Infrastructure Siting & Permitting, and thank your State Rep and State Senator for pushing hard to see the Commission’s recommendations across the finish line in the legislature.

Personal messages and stories are most effective in speaking with decision-makers. Try to personalize your message as much as possible by sharing why protecting nature matters to you.

Dear [Decision Maker],

I'm writing to thank you for your leadership and hard work that resulted in the final passage of An Act promoting a clean energy grid, advancing equity and protecting ratepayers. It's more critical than ever that we accelerate the pace of clean energy deployment in Massachusetts, while protecting environmental justice communities and our most valuable farms and forests.

The Healey-Driscoll administration's commitment to partnering with the Legislature on aggressive climate policy is inspiring, and I look forward to seeing continued collaboration to prioritize nature.

Sincerely,
