I was a mentee in their mentorship program, and now I mentor others. I have no experience or connections at the policy or legislative level, but my eco mystery Trouble at Turtle Pond was recently honored by the Massachusetts Book Awards and received a citation from Senator Michael Barrett. The book was also a Green Earth Book Award Honor book. I'm not a household name, but I'm out there working with families and the next generation of climate activists in whatever way I can.

01/29/2024  Yes, I am a town meeting member, on our town's tree committee (co-author of our Tree Protection, and Preservation bylaw) and gas Leaks task force and know all the Select Board members, the town manager, and major players in town government. As a member of the Arlington Democratic town committee, I know (and have the cell numbers of) our state senator, Cindy Friedman, and our state reps, Dave Rogers, and Sean Garballey. also member of the Arlington Land Trust and know most of the people in town involved in land conservation and environmental concerns.

12/12/2023  I was successful in getting a warrant article on our annual town meeting back in 2018 and the the I was the Solar Committee chairperson. I have been helping our Planning Board and other towns with fact checking solar developers information they presented to town. Solar Decommissioning Bonds are sorely lacking due to not adding in the disposal and recycling costs to the town. Zero Point Development lied to officials with false quotes on actual costs by claiming no costs to recycle and no hazardous ingredients. Hoping Mass declares a waste ban on panels since many end up in landfills, lead, chromium and PFAS are on these panels!
