From 6pm May 14 through 6pm May 15, over 25 teams from all over Massachusetts will compete to identify the most species of birds in a 24 hour period. Bird-a-thon is a reminder of the variety and abundance of wildlife that surrounds us and our responsibility to preserve their habitats.
This year, I am participating in Bird-a-thon because I believe in the importance of protecting the nature of Massachusetts for people and wildlife. I support Mass Audubon’s efforts to protect and steward the environment of Massachusetts through conservation, education, and advocacy.
Lucas and Dahlia will join me as much as they can in between all of their regularly scheduled activities. The kids and I are birding for the Boston Nature Center. All of the money raised goes to support the educational mission of the BNC, helping introduce all kinds of kids from Boston to the wonders of nature. The past year has made it especially clear how important it is to have access to the outdoors, and BNC is a special resource for my family and for all the families of Boston.
Please join me in supporting this important work by making a donation through my personal fundraising page.
