This year four of us birded Plum Island by bike from Friday, May 14, at 6 pm to noon on Saturday, May 15. It was a wonderful, carbon-free way to bird the Island. No hopping in and out of a vehicle, trying to hear birds from the window over the engine noise, and good exercise as well.
We saw 97 species by bike and foot!
Thank you all for supporting my birding for Metro West Bird-a-thon (Broadmoor, Drumlin Farm and Habitat). Your gift will help protect, educate about, and advocate for the nature of Massachusetts for people and wildlife, especially as global climate change threatens our planet.
Thank You so much!
