Martha Gach's Bird-a-Thon Page
Dear Friends,
For 125 years, through thick and thin Mass Audubon remains a steadfast champion for birds. Mass Audubon protects land, advocates for solid legislation to protect the nature of Massachusetts, and educates young and old about our environment. We create and manage sanctuaries to protect wildlife and to help people enjoy the nature around them. Here in Worcester County, we strive to provide access for ALL people to experience the wonder of the outdoors. YOUR SUPPORT IS CRITICAL TO OUR MISSION.
For 24 hours from May 13-14, nature heroes from all over Massachusetts will focus on nature by participating in Mass Audubon’s annual Bird-a-thon fundraiser.
Teams representing Mass Audubon sanctuaries and programs will come together to collectively identify as many birds as they can and also complete other fun, nature-based activities. Families, birders, and nature supporters alike can all enjoy Bird-a-thon.
Why I am participating in Bird-a-thon? Because it's a fun way to protect the nature of Massachusetts for people and wildlife. Broad Meadow Brook, Wachusett Meadow, and all the special places within Central Sanctuaries provide pathways for connecting people with the outdoors, helping children learn to care for the environment, immersing adults in the peace of nature, and providing a home for wildlife. I fully support Mass Audubon’s efforts to protect and steward the environment of Massachusetts. Won't you join me by making a donation?
Thanks!
