Allan's Personal Fundraising Page
From May 11-12, over 750 people from all over Massachusetts will focus on nature by participating in Mass Audubon’s annual Bird-a-thon fundraiser.
Bird-a-thon is a 24-hour birding competition where teams representing different Mass Audubon sanctuaries and programs attempt to identify the most species of birds in a 24-hour period. It serves as a reminder of the variety and abundance of wildlife that surrounds us and our responsibility to preserve their habitats.
This year, I am once again raising money for Bird-a-thon because I believe in the importance of protecting the nature of Massachusetts for people and wildlife. I support Mass Audubon’s efforts to protect and steward the environment of Massachusetts through conservation, education, and advocacy. In addition, because of thsi year's circumstances, donations will be even more meaningful than in the recent past.
I encourage you to donate to Mass Audubon South Shore Sanctuaries as we engage in our annual Bird-a-thon, from 6 p.m. on May 11 to 6 p.m. on May 12, seeking to identify as many birds as we are able in our neighborhoods and any other local sites we might visit.
If you choose to donate (still tax-deductible), go to massaudubon.org/birdathon and select "Donate." Please be sure to indicate that you are donating to South Shore Sanctuaries on my behalf.
