Nature heroes from all over Massachusetts will celebrate nature by participating in Mass Audubon's annual Bird-a-thon fundraiser! During this event, teams representing different Mass Audubon wildlife sanctuaries or statewide programs recruit team members to participate in the fun while also raising funds to support Mass Audubon's work protecting the nature of Massachusetts.
Why I'm Participating
Once again for I'm offering you the once a year special chance to support my addiciton--BIRDING--while also benefiting our fellow creatures, including birds, plants, and other wildlife on this troubled earth. In addition to raising funds for Audubon, the yearly Birdathon provides a fun and always demanding 24 hour window for birding addicts to find as many species of birds as possible during spring migration. ( We've birded in torrential rains and winds) One of the Metro West Audubon sites Habitat is where I started birding. On that day Herb said " Oh, no, I know what is going to happen, and it did!!
