Local Birders Fundraising Team
Birding—and life in general—has changed for all of us in the past 12 months. But we have been inspired by our love of being outdoors, appreciating the richness around us and spring’s arrival with the return of migrants. We need to continue to invest in places and work that helped get us through the Pandemic. And for many of us that is Arcadia Wildlife Sanctuary. Arcadia's Bird-a-thon (our Mass Audubon’s local sanctuary) is coming SOON. It is the most important fundraiser, It will be held May 14-15. We are counting on you to help Arcadia and continue to help yourself by participating in extending the value of Arcadia to many.
How to think about donating?
$10 for every visit to Arcadia during the year.
$10 for every species seen at Arcadia.
$10 for each person you have met birding at Arcadia.
Why are we doing this?????
What Bird-a-thon Gifts Make Possible

· Outreach and education by our land protection specialist to a land owner exploring conservation options for their property: $150
· Continue to support saving bird habitat: $80 an acre
· Raise $350 - Receive an invitation to a regional birding outing either in the Berkshires led by Pleasant Valley Naturalist Zach Adams or in the Valley led by David Sibley, ornithologist and author of the Sibley’s guides & Joan Walsh, Bertrand Chair of Natural History and Field Ornithology at Mass Audubon
