"Conservation without Money is Just, well, Conversation!"

Words of Wisdom from Ron Allicock, indigenous Makushi Guayanan and his nation's foremost bird-guide. I had the honor to benefit from his conservation ethic and deep country knowledge during my recent visit.
A former Mass Audubon Joppa Flats intern, Ron really 'walks the conservation walk' in Guyana--finding birds for people like me, raising money for conservation and mentoring the next generation of nature professionals.
Let's show Ron how much his words can inspire donations for conservation up here, where some of "his" migrant songbirds breed during our summers.
With proper resources, we can provide those birds--and ALL the 'nature of Massachusetts'--with welcoming habitat and best wildlife practices during their time in our neck of the woods!
Many of you have loyally supported my efforts over the course of many Bird-a-thons. So thank you in advance for your generosity again this year! I'm personally hoping for my best fund-raising year ever. And yes: I do intend to poke around in the woods and fields to see and hear as many species of birds as I possibly can on May 12-13.
Please join me in supporting this important work by making a donation through my personal fundraising page. Donating thru this website is fast, simple and totally secure. If you would prefer to donate via check, please send the check payable to
Mass Audubon with a note saying that it is for my Birdathon efforts. Amanda LaGoy at 208 S Great Road, Lincoln, MA 01773 will be glad to receive it on behalf of my efforts.
Many thanks again for the encouragement you show by joining with my team to help us reach our goal.
Warmest regards and good birding,
-Michael
