Lisa Hutchings' Fundraising Page
I am so pleased to let you know that I will be participating in Bird-a-thon 2022 with my son Danny and my co-captain Johnny Owens for the 6th year in a row! Just like people all over Massachusetts, we’ll be together to help raise crucial funds for Mass Audubon with a birding competition to identify as many species of birds as we can in 24 hours!
Bird-a-thon is one of my favorite events of the year. It makes me so proud to help contribute to fundraising efforts for this wonderful organization. In 2021, our youth team, the Joppa Juncos raised more than $8,000 and we hope to do it again this year! All funds raised will go directly to support Joppa Flats and all the beautiful sanctuaries in Essex County on the North Shore.
Each dollar raised helps us:
· Protect thousands of acres of land on the North Shore, providing habitat for birds and other wildlife.
· Educate all ages through innovative approaches, focusing on adult birding programs, youth empowerment, nature-based preschool, and summer camp; also to engage volunteers and interns to steward land, improve habitat, contribute to science, greet visitors, and inspire others to care for the environment.
· Maintain approximately 20 miles of trails on our Essex County sanctuaries, which are enjoyed by more than 25,000 people each year.
I hope you will consider making a generous donation to my personal fundraising page. I truly appreciate whatever you can contribute and thank you in advance for supporting our important work.
Thank you for all you do for Joppa Flats and the North Shore to allow us to protect, conserve, and cherish the nature of Massachusetts! Go Team!
Gratefully,
"Miss Lisa"
