The Princeton Perambulator's Bird-A-Thon Page
Welcome to Bird-A-Thon! Larry, myself, and the whole Wachusett Meadow team are trying to see all the bird species we can in Princeton this year. We stuck to the pandemic restrictions last year and did it all on foot, and since we still aren't all vaccinated we are working again on walking routes this year to get to some key habitats around town.
The best part of last year's walk was the peaceful mosey along Thompson Road. The best bird may have been the Swainson's Thrush Tom and I happened upon on Old Colony Road, but a close second was the lone Magnolia Warbler in Audubon's big hemlock woods along South Wachusett Brook. Hoping for some memorable new sightings this year -- wish me luck!
