Lauren's Bird-at-home-a-thon personal page
From May 14-15, nature heroes from all over Massachusetts will focus on nature by participating in Mass Audubon's annual Bird-a-thon fundraiser.
Teams representing different Mass Audubon sanctuaries and programs will come together to collectively identify as many species of birds in a 24-hour period and also complete other fun, nature-based activities from their home. Bird-a-thon serves as a reminder of the variety and abundance of wildlife that surrounds us and our responsibility to preserve their habitats.
This year, I am raising money for Bird-a-thon because I believe in the importance of protecting the nature of Massachusetts for people and wildlife. I support Mass Audubon's efforts to protect and steward the environment of Massachusetts through conservation, education, and advocacy.
I am lucky enough to serve as the director for Metro South. The Metro South includes over 4 Wildlife Sanctuaries:
Blue Hills Trailside Museum, Milton, MA
Moose Hill Wildlife Sanctuary, Sharon, MA
Museum of American Bird Art, Canton, MA
Stony Brook Wildlife Sanctuary, Norfolk, MA
Our staff works hard every day to take care of the animals, art, and wonderful walking trails found at our sanctuaries. While providing public programs, school programs, camps and more for the members of the community.
Please support our efforts to continue this important work in the Metro South Region of Massachusetts!
