Lauren's Bird-at-home-a-thon personal page
Dear friends and family,
Once again, nature supporters from all over Massachusetts will celebrate our glorious outdoors by participating in Mass Audubon's annual Bird-a-thon fundraiser. It's about birds, and beetles, bugs, butterflies, bats, bears, trees, wildflowers, beautiful paths to hike, streams and lakes to paddle, mountains to climb, and the greatness of being alive that nature gives us.
During this event, teams representing different Mass Audubon wildlife sanctuaries or statewide programs recruit team members to participate in the fun while also raising funds to support Mass Audubon's work protecting the nature of Massachusetts.
Why I'm Participating
As many of you know, I am not "a birder', but I go out an bird and raise money every year because I believe nature needs our support and help now more than ever. Every day I am able witness Mass Audubon's efforts to profoundly engage people in the important work of protecting the nature of Massachusetts thorough caring for the non-releasable wildlife that call Blue Hills home, create amazing STEAM based art programs at our create arts center at MABA, providing organic vegetables to local community members thought our CSA program at Moose Hill, and offer wonderful school, camp and educational programs at Stony Brook and all the other Metro South Wildlife Sanctuaries.
Our work is not possible without support from people like you!
If you can, please support Mass Audubon's important work by making a donation through this page. Any amount will make a difference!
