Fran's Personal Fundraising Page
I'm raising money for Mass Audubon's Ipswich River Wildlife Sanctuary, which is now part of the North Shore Wildlife Sanctuaries group. Our Bird-a-thon is May 14-25, 2021. Many of you are experiencing life altering economic events, so I understand if you aren't able to contribute. However, even $10 will help. IRWS is dealing with the same economic burden as you are. They are trying to maintain classes and programs for kids and adults, but the loss of income from closing the sanctuary has had a draconian effect on their ability to run programs and maintain staff.
The 2021 Bird-a-thon returns to a more normal event. We will go out as pairs of bird-a-thon teammates while maintaining socially distancing, although I haven’t received my team assignment.
Bird-a-thon serves as a reminder of the variety and abundance of wildlife, and our responsibility to preserve wildlife habitats. Help support Mass Audubon’s efforts to protect and steward the environment of Massachusetts through conservation, education, and advocacy.
Ipswich River Wildlife Sanctuary focuses on kids programs and camps, teaching kids the values we all would like them to adopt. Each Sanctuary has to raise money to run its programs, camps, classes, etc. – will you help?
Please join me again this year in supporting this important work by making a donation through my personal fundraising page. Every dollar helps! The easiest way to donate is online through my secure personal fundraising page. Please make sure you wind up on Team Ipswich River’s page and hopefully on my page. You can also send me a check if you don't want to donate online. Please make the check out to 'Mass Audubon' and put 'bird-a-thon' in the memo line.
Thanks so much for your support this year and in past years!
Stay safe and be well.
