From May 13-14 birders from all over Massachusetts will participate in Mass Audubon's annual Bird-a-thon fundraiser!
During this event, teams representing different Mass Audubon wildlife sanctuaries or statewide programs recruit team members to participate in the fun while also raising funds to support Mass Audubon's work protecting the nature of Massachusetts.
Why I'm Participating
I am raising money for Bird-a-thon because I support Mass Audubon's efforts to engage the residents of Massachusetts in the importance of protecting nature for the benefit of people and wildlife, and I support their network of sanctuaries.
I have joined a neighborhood team, but we are not competitive birders. We hope to log collectively 125 species between 6 pm Friday and 6 PM saturday.
