Help Lauren support the South East!
From May 14-15, nature heroes from all over Massachusetts will focus on nature by participating in Mass Audubon's annual Bird-a-thon fundraiser.
Teams representing different Mass Audubon sanctuaries and programs will come together to collectively identify as many species of birds in a 24-hour period and also complete other fun, nature-based activities from their home. Bird-a-thon serves as a reminder of the variety and abundance of wildlife that surrounds us and our responsibility to preserve their habitats.
This year, I am raising money for Bird-a-thon because I believe in the importance of protecting the nature of Massachusetts for people and wildlife. I support Mass Audubon's efforts to protect and steward the environment of Massachusetts through conservation, education, and advocacy.
I am lucky enough to serve as the director for the South East. The South East includes over 18 properties including 8 wildlife sanctuaries:
Daniel Webster Wildlife Sanctuary
Allens Pond Wildlife Sanctuary
North River Wildlife Sanctuary
Oak Knoll Wildlife Sanctuary
Attleboro Springs Wildlife Sanctuary
Great Neck Wildlife Sanctuary
Tidmarsh Wildlife Sanctuary
Our staff works hard to take care of this wonderful sanctuary and provide walking trails, public programs, school programs, and more for the members of the community (people and wildlife!). Please support our efforts to continue this work as we look to construct an all persons trail over the next two years in this truly remarkable landscape.
Please join me in supporting this important work by making a donation through my personal fundraising page.
