Lynn's Bird-a-thon Page
With gratitude and hope we welcome spring and the birds heading our way. Like Gerard Manley Hopkins in "Spring", we delight in their song:
“and thrush
Through the echoing timber does so rinse and wring
And, yes, it’s time for Bird-a-thon again! Teams from Mass Audubon sanctuaries raise funds and, on May 12-13, count bird species across the state. Bird-a-thon is a way, with your help, of raising money to support Mass Audubon’s mission of protecting birds and the environment we all share. Money raised protects our wildlife sanctuaries, supports educational projects and funds conservation projects critical to wildlife. Your donations make this possible.
I've used this photo, “Beech Forest: waiting for the Chickadees”, for Bird-a-thon fundraising before. The young lad, Thomas, now plays college football, and Taylor just celebrated her 17th birthday. It gives me an idea of how long many of you have been Bird-a-thon supporters. Thank you for your generous support over the years!
Please join me in making a donation once again.
